This box, with sides of Bubinga and top and bottom of Hard Maple, is of the Type A design; thicker walls and long enough to accommodate unsharpened No. 2 pencils. The top slides out to reveal the compartment, and the bottom is “captured” instead of glued to help with seasonal wood movement. The short ends of the interior are lined with soft, black material to guard against blunting, and the box is raised on four small rubber feet. Finished with Danish Oil.
